Our versatile, heavy-duty, bituminous application system comes standard with a wealth of safety features and accessories designed with you and your crews in mind.
The BIGSHOT 600D comes equipped with a 600 lb. capacity air-jacketed melter with a durable hydraulically driven low-speed high-torque agitator motor. Startup is quick and efficient with side-mounted pump chamber heating at the same rate as the material in the melter. No troublesome reed switches – just a simple, mechanical shot size adjuster that provides consistent, repeatable output. It comes standard with a durable 10-foot heated hose and a 24” electrically-heated wand with a duckbill valve at the end to minimize dripping. The standard Kubota air-cooled diesel engine is CARB and EPA-certified and supplies the power to operate an integrated pressure-compensated hydraulic power pack.

- Material Agitation: Full sweep dual blade agitator with auger powered by a low-speed, high-torque, hydraulic motor (standard)
- Material Temperature Control & Display: Digital temperature control and material temperature indication with over-temperature safety cut-off circuit
- Heating System: Diesel or optional propane burner with integrated electronics
- Agitator Control Valve: 12V electric solenoid valve integrated in the manifold
- Loading Door and Outlet Chute: Heavy-duty loading door and dispensing chute with anti-splash safety wings to protect the operator when dispensing material
- Fuel Tanks: Two 10-gallon diesel tanks or a single 100-pound propane tank with a two-stage regulator to provide the correct pressure to the burner
- Flame Control Electronic ignition with flame sense safety circuit, digital readout temperature control, and digital over-temperature safety cut-off circuit
- Hydraulic System & Reservoir: An 8-gallon per minute, pressure-compensated, hydraulic pump with a 10-gallon hydraulic fluid reservoir
- Engine Kubota diesel engines, available in 20-HP liquid-cooled or 9.5-HP air-cooled configurations. Optional 18-HP propane-fired engines, Tier 4, also available
- Construction: All steel welded construction with powder-coated (or plated) exterior surfaces
- Tank Shape: All tanks are constructed with a heavy steel flat bottom and equipped with a 3/8 inch floating stainless steel flame shield to prevent direct contact between flame and the bottom of the tank
- Approximate Weight (without material or fuel): 4,340 lbs. (1,968 kg.)
